Endless Summer: A Group Exhibition

This is an opportunity for Florida artists to submit work that demonstrates their interpretations of summer ideals, memories, or perceptions of the season.

Submission Deadline:  Sunday, June 18 (midnight)
Notification: Saturday, June 24
Opening Reception: Saturday, August 5, 4-7 PM
Exhibition Dates: August 5 - September 23, 2023 (Extended to a 7 week exhibition!)

Accepted artwork is to be delivered between July 25 - 29 and the pick-up of unsold artwork is to take place between September 26 - 30

Eligibility

Florida Artists

  • 2D or 3D original artwork (excluding video/sound and installation art)
  •  18 years or older
  • Must not have current gallery representation in Volusia County*  

 Submission Procedures:

  • Upload a numbered image inventory for up to 5 pieces (pdf or doc/docx) that includes titles, mediums, dimensions (HxWxD), and retail prices.
  • Upload digital images (jpg format) that are titled to correspond with the items listed on the numbered image inventory.  Images must represent the artwork as accurately as possible.   
  • Upload Curriculum Vitae (artist resume) and/or biographical statement (pdf or doc/docx file).

Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.

Acceptance Terms (if selected): 

  • The artist must provide high-resolution images of works selected for the exhibition for use on our website and for publicity purposes.
  • Artwork must be available for sale and the artist agrees to a 50/50 commission split with the gallery for all works sold.
  • Artwork must be delivered exhibition ready. Works not exhibition ready will not be shown. 
  • The artist is responsible for the delivery or shipment of artwork to arrive at the gallery between July 25 - 29 and the pick-up or return shipment for unsold artworks between September 26-30.   Note: If an artist is shipping their work, they are responsible for round-trip shipping costs, including insurance, if applicable.  The gallery is not responsible for damage incurred during shipment.


Selection process: All submissions will be juried by an anonymous panel of art professionals collectively with the Gallery Director. Due to the volume of submissions received, we cannot accept phone inquiries, unsolicited submissions by e-mail, mail, or unscheduled gallery visits for portfolio reviews. All applicants will be notified by e-mail.
* Please note: Arts on Douglas has an exclusivity agreement with the artists we exhibit. Our exclusivity radius is Volusia County.  If you exhibit your work with or are represented by another gallery, art space, or art center in Volusia County, as a courtesy to your current representative, your submission will not be reviewed.
